Driver escapes car after crashing into Cape Coral canal
CAPE CORAL, FL – A woman driving a red car crashed into a canal, escaped her vehicle, and was later sent to a hospital for a sustained head injury Thursday.
NBC-2 said at approximately 3 a.m. Cape Coral fire crews were summoned to the Skyline Boulevard and Mohawk Parkway junction. Upon arrival, they discovered that the vehicle was empty. A short time later, they found the driver, still wet, walking away from the site.
The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. It is not exactly clear what led her to crash her vehicle into the canal and what her current condition is.
