Driver extricated from semi after I-75 rollover wreck in Miramar
MIRAMAR, FL – First responders had to extricate a driver who was trapped inside their semi-truck after it rolled over on I-75 North Friday.
This single-vehicle wreck happened around noon when the driver crashed into a guardrail, leading it to overturn, according to WSVN. The impact of the crash led gravel and sand to come scattering across the road.
Emergency responders took the motorist to a hospital for unspecified wounds. Florida Highway Patrol and some citizens blocked off the area but still managed to leave one lane open so that travelers could pass the collision.
It is not immediately clear if distracted driving, tiredness, impairment, or other factors played a role in this wreck.
Updates will be included in an updated news article should more information come to light.
