Driver fatally hits 30-year-old man in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 30-year-old man lost his life after he was struck by a sedan driver at the U.S. 301 and County Road 218 intersection Friday.

This crash happened before 1:30 a.m. when the 30-year-old man was either “walking or standing,” the First Coast News team reported. An eyewitness said the automobile occurred when the driver was merging into another lane.

A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office report also showed that speeding was not a factor in this collision.
