Driver flees scene after fatally hitting male pedestrian in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A man walking on Curry Road succumbed to fatal wounds after getting struck by the driver of a white or light-colored vehicle, who then fled the scene Thursday.
This collision took place around 11:30 p.m., close to Colton Drive, according to Click Orlando.
A preliminary report from Florida Highway Patrol indicated that after the driver fled the scene, he had turned right into GoldenRoad Road along a Walgreens pharmacy before driving away. They said the car likely had damage to the right side mirror, a damaged windshield, and a broken tail light.
As for the pedestrian, an ambulance transported him to AdventHealth East Orlando, where he later passed away. Florida Highway Patrol does not publicly announce the names of those who died in car accidents and won’t release the victim’s name to the press, but they were able to confirm he was a 28-year-old man.
