Driver hits, injures 13-year-old boy in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 13-year-old boy sustained injuries after he was hit by a driver of a Honda CRV while walking outside of a crosswalk Wednesday.
Action News Jax said this crash took place around 8:30 a.m. at Kings Road and Division Street. Prior to the collision, authorities said the 13-year-old boy was walking to school.
First responders said the 13-year-old boy is currently recovering from life-threatening wounds, while another boy, a 12-year-old, who was walking with him was spared from injuries.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office started an investigation and has not revealed if the driver will face citations or charges for their involvement in this collision.
