Driver hospitalized after rear-ending school bus in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, FL – A driver of a car was sent to the hospital after rear-ending a school bus along Tortuga Preserve Elementary around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

This collision took place at the corner of Gunnery Road North and Ordnance Road, NBC-2 reported. The car was wedged underneath and was towed away from the scene.

The current condition of the car driver was not made immediately clear. No one on the bus, including the driver and the two schoolchildren on it, was hurt.
