Driver killed after rear-ending box truck in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A 34-year-old woman driving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson did not stop for approaching traffic and rear-ended a box truck, resulting in her death Wednesday.
Click Orlando said this crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on westbound SR-58 near mile marker 5.
An ambulance took the woman to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she succumbed to fatal wounds.
Florida Highway Patrol, who were called to this crash, said the box truck driver and the passenger with him were unscathed.
Troopers closed two westbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
FHP has not provided an update regarding whether any lanes reopened or revealed the other details surrounding Wednesday’s crash.
