Driver hits, sends teen scooter rider to hospital after running red light
ORLANDO, FL – A 16-year-old girl riding a scooter was sent to a hospital after she was struck by an SUV driver who proceeded through an intersection against a red light on Friday.
This collision occurred before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Avalon Park Boulevard and Golden Isle Boulevard in the Avalon Park neighborhood, according to WESH.
The teenage girl is recovering at Arnold Palmer Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition. Officials have made no mention of any citations or charges at this time.
