Driver seriously injured after Corvette hits cement truck in Wimauma

WIMAUMA, FL – A collision involving a cement truck and a Corvette in Wimauma this morning left one person seriously injured.

According to WTSP, the incident occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 674 and County Road 579.

Troopers say the Corvette was traveling westbound on S.R. 674 when it veered into the path of an eastbound cement mixer truck, causing the vehicles to collide head-on.

The Corvette driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital for medical treatment. The cement truck driver was unharmed.
