Driver trying to turn left fatally hits motorcyclist in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A driver of a Dodge SUV tried to turn left and struck a man in his 30s riding a motorcycle and then a Nissan SUV, leading the motorcyclist to his death Saturday.
This collision happened before 12:45 p.m. in the 8000 block of Southside Boulevard, Action News Jax reported. The impact led the motorcyclist to succumb to fatal wounds at the scene. His name has not been released at this time.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office revealed the Dodge driver was trying to come onto an entrance ramp prior to the crash. They confirmed this motorist and the Nissan driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication but did not say if they would be cited or charged for their involvement in these collisions.
