Driver turns left, fatally hits motorcyclist in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – A driver pursued a left turn at southbound U.S. 41 and Boy Scout Drive on a green arrow and hit a motorcyclist, leading to the biker’s death Saturday.
This collision happened before 3 a.m. along Page Field, NBC-2 revealed.
Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and said the motorcyclist was speeding at the time of the crash. Troopers said after both vehicles collided, the man was thrown from his bike, and the driver, a 23-year-old woman, suffered minor wounds.
The biker, a 25-year-old man, died at the scene.
