Driver unharmed in fiery crash with pole in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – For reasons unclear, a driver of a car drifted off the road before crashing into a utility pole Sunday.
The incident occurred on the 17245 block of Oriole Road, according to NBC-2. Upon colliding with the pole, the car caught on fire.
The flames spread onto the utility pole, and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. In addition, several homes on Oriole Road lost power and wifi. At the time of reporting, crews were working on restoring power.
The driver of the vehicle was unharmed and did not need to be taken to a hospital.
