Drivers fatally strike 56-year-old man in Largo
LARGO, FL – A 56-year-old man died from his injuries after he was struck by two drivers, one of whom fled the scene on Wednesday evening, WFLA revealed.
The first driver, who was suspected of operating a dark-colored Ford or Mercury SUV, had driven away when their vehicle made contact with the man crossing Roosevelt Boulevard.
A short time later, a motorist of an unspecified vehicle struck the walker, later identified as James Michael Lescord.
The Largo Police Department confirmed that the second motorist remained at the scene.
LPD launched an investigation but has not released other information at this time.
