Fatality reported in I-295 crash in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A deadly crash was reported near I-295 North Tuesday, Action News Jax indicated.

The collision happened near the exit ramp leading to Heckscher Drive and Zoo Parkway.

At least one lane is blocked, which means drivers should avoid the area and seek alternatives if possible.

Officials have not revealed what led to the crash, how many vehicles and occupants were involved, if anyone was injured, or the deceased person’s identity and gender.
