FDOT dispatched to I-295 multi-auto wreck clean up in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Florida Department of Transportation was summoned to I-295 South before Bucknam Bridge for a scene clearance clean-up process Thursday.
FDOT arrived at the scene before 7 a.m. and shut down all southbound lanes for a couple of hours before reopening after 9:15 a.m., First Coast News said. During the closures, drivers were urged to use the I-295 on-ramp as an alternative route.
Local law enforcement has not confirmed the number of people and vehicles involved, nor has it asked if anyone was injured or if anyone required a trip to the emergency room. Once officials confirm new information, these details will be added in an updated blog post.
