Female pedestrian, 39, fatally hit by vehicle in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, FL – A 39-year-old woman who was walking along an outside lane on Joel Boulevard North was hit by a vehicle, leading her to sustain fatal wounds Tuesday.
This collision happened when the vehicle’s front right side struck the walker, NBC-2 reports. After the automobile and pedestrian collided, that’s when the woman perished at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol does not release the names of those who lost their lives in collisions, but they were able to confirm that the walker was a St. James City resident.
It is not immediately clear if the driver, a 34-year-old woman from Lehigh Acres, will face charges.
