FHP closes I-75 for nine hours due to Naples big rig wreck
NAPLES, FL – Florida Highway Patrol and crews shut down I-75 South for nine hours at mile marker 89 following a big rig crash Tuesday, Wink News reported.
The details regarding the exact cause of this solo collision, which happened before 3:45 a.m., have not been revealed, although troopers did say that the truck was hauling roof shingles, which spilled out onto the road, which was the reason for the lane closures in the first place.
Despite the nature of this wreck, the driver escaped injuries in the process.
Troopers confirmed that one lane remained open prior to lane closures being lifted before 1 p.m.
Officials started an investigation and have not released other information at this time.
