FHP investigates Ave Maria rear-end crash involving semi, SUV

AVE MARIA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol is working to learn more about the circumstances that led an SUV driver to rear-end a semi-truck Thursday night. 

NBC-2 indicated this wreck happened before 8:45 p.m. at the Anthem Parkway and Liberty Street junction. As shown in the photo, the impact of this collision led the black car to sustain significant front-end damage, including the removal of a passenger door. 

It is unclear if the car driver or semi-truck motorist were harmed. Additional information will be posted should it become available.
