FHP investigates multi-auto wreck on Sunshine Skyway Bridge
MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances behind a multi-vehicle collision on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge Saturday.
FHP, crews, and other first responders arrived at the scene, at mile marker 10, before 4 p.m., according to WFLA.
Troopers have not been able to confirm the exact cause of this crash and any injuries or hospitalizations. However, based on a photo from the Florida Department of Transportation, it appears six or seven vehicles may have been involved.
FHP closed the northbound lanes for approximately one hour and has not revealed when they reopened the area.
