Fort Myers Police IDs 5 teens killed in crash with pond
FORT MYERS, FL – Fort Myers Police have released the names of the teenagers killed in a crash that sent one car to drive into a retention pond off Top Golf Way Sunday.
Officials did confirm that speeding was indeed the contributing factor as the driver – Jesus Salinas – was going between 70 to 75 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone, according to NBC-2.
Salinas and the other passengers, who were all 18 or 19 years old, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. They were identified as Eric Paul, Amanda Ferguson, Breanna Coleman, and Jackson Eyre.
