Head-on crash in Jacksonville injures 4, claims 2 lives
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Two toddlers, a 5-year-old girl and a 42-year-old man, were seriously hurt, while a 25-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl were killed in a head-on wreck Sunday.
Florida Highway Patrol told News4Jax that the 25-year-old girl was driving south on I-95 in an inside lane when she crashed head-on into the second car driven by the 42-year-old man.
All of the SUV occupants, which consisted of the 25-year-old woman and the two toddlers — a 1-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl, the 5-year-old girl, and the 3-year-old girl — all did not wear seatbelts, while the other driver did.
FHP had to close all the northbound lanes and reopened the area.
