Helicopter wreck in Miami-Dade Co. injures woman, claims man’s life
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A 27-year-old woman was injured, and a 71-year-old man later died when the helicopter they traveled in crashed into a canal Wednesday afternoon.
This collision happened in the area of Southwest 184th Avenue and 120th Street. WSVN said the pilot of the helicopter came from Fort Myers and was on the way to Miami Executive Airport. The woman, Jordan Ann Zanzuri, was able to come out of the water on her own, while her father, Clement Zanzuri, did not come to the surface on his own. Emergency responders pulled out Clement, and then he and his daughter were taken to Jackson South Medical Center via an ambulance.
Jordan is in stable condition and will be OK. Clement later succumbed to fatal wounds.
