Hillsborough Co. jack-knife semi crash hurts driver, causes fuel spill
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A semi-truck driver was hurt when they lost control of their vehicle, causing it to jackknife, hit a barrier wall, and then fuel to spill onto I-75 Tuesday.
The Tampa Bay Times said this collision occurred around 12:35 p.m. Officials declared a temporary closure for the northbound lanes, which was in effect for one hour before all lanes reopened.
The “significant fuel leak” appeared to have been contained, and the motorist is expected to survive their wounds.
