Hit-and-run crash causes pole to fall on school bus in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – A hit-and-run driver collided with live wires attached to a pole, leading the pole to land on a school bus around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
NBC-2 said this incident occurred at Jacaranda and NE 15th Place. Police speculate that the hit-and-run driver was operating a white van at the time of the collision.
No one, including the 25 students on the bus and the bus driver, appeared to be unharmed. The students and the bus driver were escorted safely out of the bus, and the students were transported onto another bus.
Police have not provided additional information on the suspect, and they have yet to come forward.
