Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes 25-year-old man in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A hit-and-run driver struck a 25-year-old man on Blanding Boulevard, leading the man to succumb to fatal wounds Friday morning.
First Coast News said the 25-year-old man, identified as Dalton Penkacik, was walking to his job at an Amazon delivery center when he was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
Police believe the suspect was operating a Volkswagen. They have not provided a description at this time.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office did launch an investigation for Penkacick and also mentioned they started an investigation for Penkacick’s 12-year-old brother, who lost his life on September 1st when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking to school.
