Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes 70-year-old woman in St. Pete
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 70-year-old woman died after she was struck by the driver of a Cadillac SUV in the Disston Heights neighborhood Wednesday.
The Tampa Bay Times said this incident happened after 6:30 p.m. at the 22nd Avenue North and 41st Street North junction.
Police declared the woman — Karen Moorefield, a St. Petersburg resident — dead at the scene. An early investigation indicates the suspect vehicle has front-end damage.
