Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes cyclist in Bithlo
BITHLO, FL – A cyclist succumbed to fatal injuries after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing East Colonial Drive and 3rd Street Saturday.
WESH said this collision occurred before 8 a.m. Florida Highway Patrol said the cyclist was a 56-year-old man from Bithlo, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was believed to have driven a Ford SUV, which sustained visible damage on the front-right side of the car.
No arrests have been made at this time.
