Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes Georgia woman in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 63-year-old woman from Sparta, Georgia, lost her life after she was struck by a hit-and-run suspect operating a dark SUV on I-95 Thursday.
News4Jax said the events unfolded when the Georgia woman got out of her car (parked on the shoulder) around 12:35 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol said this collision happened along Edgewood Avenue. Since the woman got out of her vehicle, she was considered a pedestrian in this case.
