Hit-and-run driver hits, sends motorcyclist to hospital in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – A woman operating a motorcycle was sent to the hospital after she was struck by the driver of a pickup truck who then fled the scene Friday.
This collision happened after 11 p.m. at the Collier Boulevard and 3rd Avenue Southwest junction, which is north of the Golden Gate suburb, NBC-2 reported.
First responders rushed the woman to Gulf Coast Hospital, where she is being treated for serious wounds.
Authorities have launched an investigation and believe the suspect was driving a gray/silver Chevy Silverado, which had a lift kit and included wheel spacers and a “black ‘tribal’ decal.
