I-75 rollover crash, shooting in Miami sends man to hospital
MIAMI, FL – A man who was said to have trespassed into a Miami-Dade County home after being involved in an I-75 rollover wreck was shot by a firearm and then sent to a hospital.
This incident happened around 6 a.m. Sunday, WSVN reports. The male suspect, identified as Whitney Liberal, had used a ladder to climb over a home wall. Once Liberal made it into the home’s backyard, that’s when he got shot by the homeowner.
Medical helicopter personnel rushed Liberal to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. He appears, however, to be in a not-so-serious condition as he is expected to fully recover.
Liberal was arrested and faces charges with respect to trespassing, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
The specifics of this rollover collision have not been disclosed, and authorities did not say if anyone involved in that crash, aside from Liberal, sustained any injuries.
