Left turn attempt leads to deadly head-on wreck in North Fort Myers
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A 79-year-old man driving an SUV tried to turn left when he collided head-on with a pickup truck, leading to his death Sunday.
This crash happened when the pickup truck driver, an 80-year-old woman, was going west on State Road 78, and the SUV driver was going east on SR 78, trying to turn onto Twin Brooks Road, NBC-2 said.
Upon arrival, Florida Highway Patrol declared the man deceased at the scene and said the woman suffered serious wounds.
