Left-turn attempt near Naples Airport leads to deadly 3 auto-wreck
EAST NAPLES, FL – An attempt at pursuing an unprotected left turn south of Naples Airport resulted in a three-automobile crash that claimed a passenger’s life Tuesday.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed with NBC-2 that it was the driver of a red sedan that tried to make the turn, which then led to an on-coming collision with a pickup truck that also involved a third gray sedan. The impact caused the pickup truck to strike the red sedan’s right side. As a result, the passenger inside that red sedan perished at the collision site.
At this time, it is unclear if the other drivers/occupants sustained injuries and if any other contributing factors were behind this fatal wreck. These details will be added once authorities confirm more details.
