Left-turn collision in Tampa claims life of motorcyclist
TAMPA, FL – A driver of a Cadillac XTS, a 67-year-old man, tried to turn left and collided with a Suzuki motorcycle Saturday, leading to the motorcyclist’s death.
This collision happened at the westbound Hillsborough Avenue and Montague Street junction, according to ABC Action News.
A preliminary report from Florida Highway Patrol suggests that the motorcyclist – a 28-year-old man — had been speeding when he collided with the Cadillac. As a result, he was thrown from his bike, leading it to catch fire.
FHP said the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the Cadillac driver sustained minor injuries.
