Left-turn wreck in Buena Ventura Lakes kills 60-year-old man
BUENA VENTURA LAKES, FL – A 60-year-old man driving a 2013 Toyota Prius turned left and struck a 2011 Nissan Rogue, which led him to succumb to fatal wounds Thursday.
This collision took place before 1:30 a.m. when the 60-year-old man was coming from eastbound Oakwood Drive and turning onto Buenaventura Boulevard, Click Orlando reported. The driver of the Nissan was traveling in the center lane and could not stop in time when the Prius entered his path. The impact led the Nissan to hit the left side of the Prius and then drift off the road and come to rest, facing northeast, and injuring its driver, a 33-year-old man from Kissimmee.
First responders took the 33-year-old man to a hospital where he is recovering from minor wounds. They declared the 60-year-old man dead at the scene.
