Left-turn wreck in Jacksonville claims lives of motorcyclists
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A Nissan Frontier driver made a left turn at Beach Boulevard and Washburn Road, causing a crash with two motorcycles that claimed two lives Thursday.
This crash happened before 7:30 p.m. Photos from First Coast News indicate a significantly damaged black pickup truck’s front bumper.
The impact put the pickup truck driver, a 44-year-old man, in serious condition and the surviving pickup truck passenger, a 29-year-old man, both Jacksonville Beach residents, with critical, life-threatening wounds.
The two people who perished were the motorcyclists, both aged 25, one operating a black Suzuki motorcycle and another a black Suzuki motorcycle.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shut down the westbound lanes starting at San Pablo Road and ending at Hodges Boulevard for the scene clearance process.
