Major flooding reported when truck hits fire hydrant in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A 33-year-old adult operating a pickup truck collided with a fire hydrant in the Conway district, which resulted in major flooding Tuesday.
This collision was reported before 2:30 p.m. at the East Michigan Street and Conway Gardens Road junction, according to WESH 2 News.
The driver stayed at the scene and was unharmed. No injuries were reported for the residents in the surrounding homes.
Orlando Utilities Commission crews closed Michigan Street between Conway Gardens Road and Bass Lake Boulevard for most of the day.
The Orlando Fire Department also replaced the fire hydrant.
