Male cyclist, 64, fatally struck by motorcyclists in Estero
ESTERO, FL – A 64-year-old man riding a bicycle was sent to a hospital where he died after he was struck by two motorcycles at Three Oaks Parkway and Corkscrew Road Tuesday.
NBC-2 said the events unfolded five minutes before 8 p.m. at 7:55 p.m. when the cyclist was crossing the intersection and went in front of two motorcycles, causing those motorcyclists — a 24-year-old man from Naples and a 22-year-old woman from Estero — to hit the cyclist in the northbound lane on Oaks Parkway.
Florida Highway Patrol closed three lanes on Oaks to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
No other details were reported.
