Male driver, 18, dies as car hits Apopka utility pole
APOPKA, FL – An 18-year-old man lost his life after he crashed his 2014 Infiniti Q50 into a utility pole Monday night, Click Orlando reports.
This collision took place before 10:30 p.m. on Rock Springs Road, along Ponkan Road. The 18-year-old, an Apopka local, had overcorrected, which led him to travel off course, strike the utility pole and come back into the southbound lanes.
After arriving, first responders took the man to a local hospital where he died.
On a related note, a driver, also operating the same vehicle, had passed away after striking a concrete pole. However, this crash happened in Pine Hills Pine Hills Road South near Dolores Drive, and the motorist had a passenger with them who was hospitalized.
