Male pedestrian, 68, fatally hit by pickup truck in Pinellas Co.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – A driver of a GMC C550 pickup truck hit a 68-year-old man walking across U.S. Highway 19 North, leading the pedestrian to die from his injuries Friday.
This collision was reported around 9 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol told ABC Action News that the crash was brought on when the pedestrian “walked into the path of the truck.” The pedestrian, only identified as a 68-year-old man from St. Petersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges or citations were indicated for the pickup truck motorist, identified as a 33-year-old man.
