Man, 19, critically injured after Fort Myers hit-and-run crash
FORT MYERS, FL – A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after getting struck by a car in a Fort Myers neighborhood Monday.
The collision occurred before 7:30 p.m. at Broadway and Moreno Avenue, according to NBC-2.
A driver of a dark-colored sedan turned into the intersection and hit a jeep before fleeing the scene. As seen from a home camera, a tire from the jeep came off and struck a parked van, which was located a block away from the collision.
The driver of the Jeep, an unidentified 19-year-old man, shortly struck a tree. The victim was hospitalized for critical-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect has not been found.
