Man, 23, dead after Fort Myers crash between scooter, 2 vehicles
FORT MYERS, FL – A 23-year-old man died after getting struck by two vehicles while riding his scooter Monday.
According to NBC-2, the incident occurred when the man declined to use the crosswalk and attempted to cross the road in the area of Six Mile Cypress Parkway and Daniels Parkway.
First responders received this report after 8 a.m. They learned that the man entered the southbound lanes of Six Mile Cypress Parkway when a pickup truck and a sedan had the right of way as indicated by the green light.
Upon coming into traffic, the pedestrian was struck by the sedan and then the pickup truck.
The unidentified 23-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
