Man, 23, dead after Wesley Chapel truck-motorcycle crash
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – A motorcyclist later died following a crash involving a truck towing a trailer that was carrying vehicle parts.
The collision occurred on I-75 South near State Road 56 around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Fox 13 News reported.
According to officials, the motorcyclist tried to pass the truck and instead collided with it. As a result, he was ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the trailer.
The debris from that collision then resulted in a multi-vehicle crash involving approximately five automobiles. Those drivers and occupants were spared from injuries.
The truck driver was unharmed. The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man, was airlifted to a hospital, where he succumbed to fatal injuries.
