Man, 23, fatally struck by car while trying to save dog
TAMPA, FL – A 23-year-old man passed away after trying to chase his Doberman from the road Thursday, ABC Action News revealed.
Florida Highway Patrol said the man was trying to assist his girlfriend with an initial collision. The events for the man-dog situation happened when the man got out of his vehicle to help his girlfriend. While it is unclear if the man left his door open, his dog was somehow able to follow him and then went into traffic. As soon as the man saw what happened, he rushed to help when he was hit by a vehicle operated by a 31-year-old woman.
The driver was unharmed.
