Man, 24, hospitalized after Bonita Springs hit-and-run crash

BONITA SPRINGS, FL – A cyclist was critically injured after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday. 

The collision happened on the eastbound lanes of Dean Street near Harold Street, NBC-2 reported. A driver of what officials believe to be a Mercedes Class C sedan, an older model, hit the back of the man on the bike. 

The impact caused the cyclist to fall from the bicycle. The 24-year-old man was taken to a hospital for his injuries. 

Officials have not located the driver and ask that anyone who can provide more information on the driver or the collision contact them at the phone number listed in the source.
