Man, 25, killed in motorcycle-car crash in St. Petersburg
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 25-year-old died after his gray Honda CBR600RR motorcycle hit the right back side of a Hyundai Sonata around 8 p.m. Thursday.
WFLA said this collision occurred at 34th Street North and 34th Avenue North. Officials said the motorcyclist was speeding when he struck the Hyundai driver, who went over five lanes of traffic.
First responders sent the Hyundai driver to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Officials shut down the intersection and reopened it five hours later.
