Man, 61, killed in hit-and-run crash in North Fort Myers
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A 61-year-old man’s life was claimed in a hit-and-run crash near North Shore Park around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
According to NBC-2, the collision happened when a driver of a blue 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was driving south on U.S. 41 and struck the 61-year-old man.
The man gave in to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was later found and identified; the truck was impounded. Troopers did not indicate any pending charges.
