Man dead after pickup truck crash with tree in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A man crashed his Chevrolet pickup truck into a tree on Spring Park Road and succumbed to fatal injuries after 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the driver may have traveled at a high rate, leading him to cross over the southbound lanes, according to News 4 Jax. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

No other information has been released.
