Man dies after running stop sign, causing crash in Masaryktown
MASARYKTOWN, FL – A man driving a Honda Accord ran a stop sign, leading to a collision involving two other vehicles and resulting in his death Friday.
ABC Action News said this crash occurred before 10 p.m. when the Honda Accord driver, a 61-year-old man from Weeki Wachee, went west on Hodza Street and then was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 51-year-old woman from Brooksville.
After those two vehicles collided, a third vehicle, a GMC Envoy, driven by a 51-year-old man also from Brooksville, struck the Honda.
The Honda driver succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the 51-year-old woman and 51-year-old man suffered serious injuries, and three other passengers sustained minor wounds, Florida Highway Patrol said.
