Man fatally struck by speeding driver along Winter Garden home
WINTER GARDEN, FL – A driver did not negotiate a curve, drifted off the road, and eventually hit a man and crashed into his home.
The collision began around 11 a.m. on the 7100 block of Wild Blackberry Trail, according to Click Orlando.
Troopers said the driver, a 22-year-old man, was speeding when he did not negotiate a curve. As a result, he hit a mailbox, tree, and light pole, before hitting a 71-year-old man standing in front of his home.
The 71-year-old man suffered fatal injuries.
Officials have not specified pending charges for the driver or indicated other details surrounding Monday’s fatal crash.
