Man hurt, another killed in auto-pedestrian crash in Pine Hills
ORLANDO, FL – One man lost his life, and another man, aged 54, from Apopka, was injured in a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the Pine Hills area Friday.
WESH said the events unfolded around 7:10 p.m., when a driver of a 2009 Chevy Traverse, going on Silver Star Road East, had struck a pedestrian also traveling east, crossing the lanes directly in front of the car.
FHP declared one of the men deceased at the scene and said the surviving individual, injured, remained at the collision site but did not disclose that person’s current condition or if first responders took him to a hospital.
After arriving, first responders shut down the eastbound lanes on Silver Star Road for the scene clearance and investigation purposes. FHP has not confirmed additional information pertaining to this wreck. Still when the latest developments surface, then you can count on our newsroom to provide updates.
